Konrad Karl Glaser (born March 17, 1876 in Nordheim ; † January 12, 1956 there ) was a German farmer and politician ( HBB / DNVP ).

Life and work

Konrad Karl Glaser was born on March 17, 1876, the son of the farmer and politician Sebastian Glaser (1842–1899) and his wife Wilhelmine Katharina, née Glaser, in Nordheim near Biblis . His father was mayor of Nordheim from 1883 to 1899 and from 1897 to 1899 a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse for the farmers' union . After graduating from primary school in his birthplace, he attended an agricultural school in Darmstadt and at the same time completed a practical apprenticeship in his parents' company. He then worked as a farmer in Nordheim. During the time of the German Empire he was a board member of the Federation of Farmers for 15 yearsin the Grand Duchy of Hesse . Konrad Karl Glaser died on January 12, 1956 in Nordheim.

politics

In 1919 Glaser was co-founder and provincial chairman of the Hessian Farmers' Union (HBB). He had been mayor of the Nordheim community since 1919 , was a member of the district council in the Bensheim district and was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1921 to 1933 . In the general election in May 1924 , he was for the German National People's Party (DNVP) in the German Reichstag voted, where he remained until December 1924th
