Konrad Meyer (born August 22, 1875 in Calbe ; † January 31, 1949 in Belzig ) was a German Protestant theologian , educator and politician ( DNVP ).

Life

Konrad Meyer was born the son of a superintendent. After attending the Pforta high school , he began studying Protestant theology at the universities in Greifswald and Leipzig in 1895 , which he completed in 1902 with a licentiate (professor, lic. Theol.). During his studies he became a member of the Association of German Students in Greifswald . He had been at the Cathedral Candidate Foundation in Berlin since 1902 and worked after receiving his doctorate as Dr. phil. from 1904 to 1909 as director of the theological study house in Bonn . In 1909 he received a position as clergyman inspector at the monastery of Our Dear Women in Magdeburg , which he held until 1932. As such, he worked as a teacher of religion and Hebrew until 1928. From 1933 to 1937 he was the head of the alumni of the cathedral and monastery high school in Magdeburg . In addition to his professional activities, he wrote theological writings, was a member of the Theological literary journal and wrote articles for the theological and literary magazine Serve each other .

After the November Revolution, Meyer helped found the DNVP in the Magdeburg-Anhalt district, of which he headed the regional association during the Weimar Republic . From 1921 to 1932 and again in 1933 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament .
