Konrad Meyer (born January 7, 1902 in Tangermünde , † January 17, 1972 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1958 to 1971 he was a member of the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

Konrad Meyer attended a higher private school and a Realgymnasium and graduated from high school. Between 1921 and 1923 he completed his apprenticeship at Gut Wanfried-Werra, after which he worked as an agricultural official and in an agricultural machine factory until 1925. From 1926 to 1928 he studied at the agricultural college in Berlin . In 1928 he took over the Klinken estate near Rümpel and worked as a manager. Meyer was married and the father of five children.

Meyer joined the CDU in 1947 and became CDU district chairman in Stormarn in 1949 . In 1948 he became a council member in Rümpel and was mayor of the municipality from 1948 to 1951 . From 1955 he was a member of the Stormarn district council and the Stormarn district committee .

In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 1958 and 1962 , Meyer was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 38 (Stormarn-Nord). In the 1967 election he was able to win constituency 39 (Stormarn-Ost) for the CDU. He was a member of parliament from October 27, 1958 to May 15, 1971. From the beginning of the fifth legislative period on October 29, 1962, he held the office of secretary in the state parliament . In addition to other committee memberships, he was a member of the committee for the constitution and rules of procedure throughout his entire time in the state parliament and from 1958 to 1964 of the popular education committee.

In 1966 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st Class.
