Konrad Schredelseker
Konrad Schredelseker (born May 6, 1774 in Weisenheim am Sand , † February 22, 1840 in Horchheim near Worms ) was a village school teacher and surveyor . As a geometer of the city of Worms , he worked out the first cadastral plan of Worms "Atlas géometrique de la ville de Worms" (1810) from 1809–1810 .
origin
Schredelseker came from Weisenheim am Sand, where his father Johann Peter (1753-1812), who came from Heddesheim near Mannheim, was a Catholic schoolmaster and congregation taker . His grandfather Conrad (1722–1785) was mayor of Heddesheim, the family can be found there as early as 1650. The spelling of the family name in the documents varied from Schrödelsacker to Schrödelsecker to Schredelsecker.
life and work
Konrad Schredelseker was a schoolmaster in Offstein until 1802 , then from 1802 to 1829 a teacher in Horchheim near Worms . From 1803 he also worked as a geometer in the Département du Mont-Tonnerre . He served the community of Horchheim in various offices, such as community clerk, community collector and tax collector. From 1813 to 1827 he was secretary of the Foundation Hospital Neuhausen zu Horchheim . Schredelseker made a substantial fortune in the course of his life. At his request, his surviving dependents set up a school remuneration foundation in Horchheim in 1841, which existed until the inflation of 1923.

progeny
The son Friedrich Wilhelm (1805-1880) was a teacher in Horchheim from 1829 to 1844 and from 1844 to 1880 mayor of Horchheim. His brother Konrad (1819-1858) was from 1852 to 1858 district builder for the Erbach district building authority in Michelstadt. Friedrich Wilhelm's grandson of the same name (1870–1934) founded the Lactowerk in Horchheim and was also mayor of Horchheim from 1930 to 1933.
