Sitters is a municipality in the Donnersbergkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Nordpfälzer Land , which has its administrative headquarters in the municipality of Rockenhausen and an additional administrative office in Alsenz .

Sitters is located in the North Palatinate Uplands north of the Palatinate Forest . To the north is Obermoschel , to the east is Oberndorf and to the southwest is Schiersfeld .

Culture and sights

In the vicinity of Sitters are the ruins of the Moschellandsburg . The Protestant church was completed in 1849 and rebuilt in 1888. The village community center is in the center of the old school building from 1846 . In the cemetery you can find some old tombstones that are real masterpieces of stone carving.
