Morschheim is a municipality on the upper Selz in the Donnersbergkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Kirchheimbolanden community .

The weather is mostly sunny and warm, sometimes a bit dry. The reasons for this are the protected location in the east of the Donnersberg and the altitude of around 302 m above sea level. NHN . The "Morschheimer Wind" from the west is a disadvantage.

The place name was first mentioned in 1157 in the spelling "Morscheym".

The municipal council in Morschheim consists of twelve council members, who were elected by a majority vote in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the honorary local mayor as chairman.

- Claudius Mauritius von Gagern (1696–1758); Freiherr , local lord of Morschheim and founder of the southern German line of his family. Lived and died here, epitaph in the local church.
