Rathskirchen is a local community on the western edge of the Donnersbergkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Nordpfälzer Land association.
geography
The place is on the Hahnenbach in the North Palatinate Uplands west of the Donnersberg between Kaiserslautern and Bad Kreuznach .
The municipality includes the two districts of Rathskirchen and Rudolphskirchen , and the district of Rathskirchen also includes the Bösodenbacherhof residential area .
history
After the French Revolution , the place was incorporated into the French Donnersberg department . However, as a result of the Congress of Vienna , he became Bavarian from 1816 to 1945 . After the Second World War , Rathskirchen was part of the French occupation zone and was incorporated into the newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1946. Today's community was formed on June 7, 1969 from the dissolved communities Rathskirchen (then 178 inhabitants) and Rudolphskirchen (80).
