Konrad Stock

Konrad Stock (born August 21, 1941 in Munich ) is a Protestant theologian . He most recently taught as Professor of Systematic Theology at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn (branch Cologne ).

academic career

Konrad Stock studied philosophy in Munich and Protestant theology in Tübingen , Heidelberg , Bonn and Erlangen . In 1970 he received his doctorate in theology under Jürgen Moltmann in Tübingen . From then on he was pastor in Augsburg until 1972 . In 1979 he completed his habilitation in Tübingen, where he taught as a private lecturer and professor for systematic theology until 1982 . In 1982 he was appointed to the professorship for systematic theology at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen and in 1991 to the professorship for systematic theology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, where he taught until his retirement in 2007. From 1995 to 2004 he was co-editor of the Theologische Realenzyklopädie for the subject “ Dogmatics ”.
