Konstanze Fliedl

Konstanze Fliedl (born August 7, 1955 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian literary scholar.

biography

Fliedl studied German, art history and theology at the University of Vienna , did his doctorate on Elisabeth Langgässer and qualified as a professor in 1997 with a thesis on Arthur Schnitzler . Fliedl has been president of the Arthur Schnitzler Society since 1998 , has carried out research stays in Marbach am Neckar , Cambridge , Harvard and Yale as well as numerous guest lectureships at various European universities (including Berlin , Coimbra and Warsaw ).

From 2002 Fliedl taught as a professor at the University of Salzburg , and since October 2007 she has been professor for modern German literature at the University of Vienna . Konstanze Fliedl is also active as a reviewer and juror, including the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize . In 2014 Fliedl was elected a real member of the philosophical-historical class of the Austrian Academy of Sciences .

Schnitzler editions

As the editor of Arthur Schnitzler, she published the correspondence with Richard Beer-Hofmann and edited readings of Der Weg ins Freie (1995, in Residenz Verlag ), Lieutenant Gustl (2002) and Ms. Berta Garlan (2006, both with Reclam ). The historically critical edition of de Gruyter's early work was opened in 2011 with the volume on Lieutenant Gustl she edited . The Wiener Schnitzler edition project , which she is in charge of , creates the other volumes.
