The Korotaicha ( Russian Коротаиха ) is a tributary of the Barents Sea in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in northwestern Russia .
The Korotaicha arises in the northeast of the Chernyshev Ridge at the confluence of its two source rivers Sjadei-Ju and Tar-Ju . The Korotaicha flows through the extreme east of the Bolsemelskaya tundra in a predominantly northwestern direction. It finally flows into the Pechora Sea east of Chaipudyr Bay .
The Korotaicha has a length of 199 km. The river is fed by snowmelt as well as precipitation . Its catchment area covers 12,700 km². This includes numerous lakes.
