Kosyn (Ukrainian Козин ; Russian Козин / Kosin , Polish Kozin ) is a village in the Ukraine in the Rivne Oblast , it is located north of the river Pljaschiwka about 21 kilometers northeast of the Rajon capital Radyvyliw and 68 kilometers southwest of the Oblast capital Rivne .
On April 27, 2016, the village became the center of the newly founded rural community Kosyn (Козинська сільська громада / Kosynska silska hromada ). At that includes also the 21 villages Beresyny (Березини) Bilohoriwka (Білогорівка) Bryhadyriwka (Бригадирівка), Haj (Гай) Hraniwka (Гранівка) Hussary (Гусари) Dobrywoda (Добривода) Dubyny (Дубини) Zarichne ( Зарічне) Iwaniwka (Іванівка) Iwaschuky (Іващуки) Kursyky (Курсики), Nova Pljaschewa (Нова Пляшева) Passiky (Пасіки) Pidwyssoke (Підвисоке) Pustoiwanne (Пустоіванне) Radychiwschtschyna (Радихівщина) Rudnia (Рудня) Sawtschuky (Савчуки) Serednye (Середнє) and Stanislawy (Станіслави) until then, the village formed together with the villages Dubyny , Hraniwka and Sawtschuky the district community same.
The village was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1488 and was in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania , Ruthenian Voivodeship , until the Third Partition of Poland in 1795 . Then it came to the Russian Empire and was incorporated into the Volhynian governorate . After the end of the First World War , the borders were redrawn, the place came to the Second Polish Republic and from 1934 was incorporated into the Gmina Krupiec , Powiat Dubno , Volyn Voivodeship . During the Second World War , the place came to the Soviet Union in September 1939 and was incorporated into the Ukrainian SSR , after the beginning of the German-Soviet War , the place came under German rule in the Reichskommissariat Ukraine , general district Volhynien-Podolia , district Dubno , but was after at the end of the Second World War re-affiliated to the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1991 Kosyn has been part of today's Ukraine.
In 1940 the place became the capital of the district of Kosyn , but it was dissolved on January 21, 1959 and added to the Radywyliw district, since then the place has been a simple village.
