The Kosyrewka ( Russian Козыревка , also Karakowaja (Караковая)) is a left tributary of the Kamchatka on the Kamchatka Peninsula .

The Kosyrewka rises on the western flank of the Achtang shield volcano . The river flows around the mountain, initially in a south-easterly direction, later in a north-easterly direction. The Kosyrewka has countless meanders . In the lower reaches it runs parallel to the Kamchatka. 20 km south of Kozyrevsk it finally flows into the Kamchatka . The most important tributary, the Bystraja , flows into the Kosyrewka from the left 5 km before the confluence. Other major tributaries are Suchariki and Topolowaja , both from the left. The Kosyrewka has a length of 222 km. It drains an area of ​​8440 km².

In the river are rainbow trout , brook trout , Salvelinus white-spotted charr and grayling before. Various salmon fish swim up the river to spawn . These include sockeye salmon , ketal salmon , pink salmon and silver salmon .
