Królowa Mleka is the title of the Polish milk queen . As the product queen , she represents the Polish dairy industry and dairy products as food.

The project Królowa MLEKA was from the Polish trade magazine Forum Mleczarskie initiated and is supported by four dairy organizations: Krajowy Związek Spółdzielni Mleczarskich ZR , Federacja Branżowych Związków Producentów Rolnych , Polska Federacja Hodowców bydła i Producentów MLEKA (PFHBiPM) and Federacja Związków Pracodawców-Dzierżawców i Właścicieli Rolnych (FZP-DiWR). A media patronage was taken over by the public television broadcaster TVP1 . The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as the State Agency for the Agricultural Market ( Agencja Rynku Rolnego - ARR), the Agricultural Restructuring Agency ( Agencja Reststrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa - ARiMR) and the Presidium of the Polish Chambers of Agriculture ( Krjowa Radcha IzbIR ).

The first Polish milk queen (2014) to be elected in November 2013 was Katarzyna Gajownik, a PhD student at Siedlce University of Agriculture . Two princesses were also chosen for 2015. The milk queen of 2015 is Justyna Matusiewicz; she was crowned on November 19th by the Minister of Agriculture, Marek Sawicki . Karolina Bukowska and Joanna Łuniewska were chosen as the milk princesses of 2015. The milk queen for 2016 is Agnieszka Zaworska.

The jury, which meets annually, consists of specialists from the dairy industry, media representatives and public figures. This includes the director Renata Gabryjelska as well as the professors Antoni Pluta ( Warsaw University of Natural Sciences ) and Zygmunt Zander . The newly elected queen will be presented at the leading trade fair in the industry, the Warsaw “ Mleko-Expo ”. Essential tasks of the milk queen are teaching visits to primary schools as well as appearing at public festivals (such as the harvest festival of the Polish President) and at industry events. According to the competition statutes, the Polish milk queen should be between 18 and 30 years old and have a background in dairy farming (origin, education).
