Kraftstein is a hamlet that belongs to Mühlheim an der Donau in the Tuttlingen district in Baden-Württemberg .

Geographical location

The hamlet of Kraftstein is located about 500 meters east of the Kraftstein castle ruins on the Alb - the plateau of the Great Heuberg at over 860  m above sea level. NN .

Surroundings

The former district Kraftstein borders in the west on Nendingen and minimally on Wurmlingen and Rietheim . In the north are Dürbheim and Mahlstetten , and in the east the district of Stetten . ( Five-country corner )

history

Kraftstein castle ruins

Kraftstein belonged to the community of Mahlstetten until 1835 (since 1806 Oberamt Spaichingen , before that Enzbergisch ), after which it was assigned to Mühlheim an der Donau ( Oberamt Tuttlingen ). With the incorporation of Stetten into the city of Mühlheim in 1971, a direct community connection was created.

Landheim power stone

The Evangelische Jugendwerk Tuttlingen operates the Landheim Kraftstein in the area . The country home was built and moved into in 1952 at its current location in the Mühlheim district. A spacious campground was created around the building. Holiday and weekend camps for various groups take place here. In 1995 the main building was completely renovated.

traffic

It is two and a half kilometers to the next town of Mahlstetten, and a community road leads into the Danube Valley to Stetten. There is no direct connection to Mühlheim.
