Krasnooktjabrski ( Russian Краснооктябрьский ) is a settlement in the Republic of Adygeja ( Russia ) with 5875 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The settlement of Ort is located about 3 km as the crow flies south of the center of the republic capital Maikop , separated from the city by a wooded mountain range that rises between the Belaja and its left tributary Kurdschips . Krasnooktjabrski extends along the right bank of the Kurdschip.

Krasnooktjabrski belongs to the Maikopski Rajon and is located about 10 km northwest of its administrative seat Tulski . It is the seat of the rural community Krasnooktjabrskoje selskoje posselenije, which in addition to the settlement nor the Stanizen Beswodnaja, Dagestanskaja and Kudschipskaja, the settlements Chakods, Mirny, Priretschny, Spokoiny and Tabatschny and Weiler (Khutor) Krasny Most and Sadowy belong.

history

The village name is of Krasny Oktyabr, Russian for Red October , is derived. In the last few decades the settlement has developed into a residential suburb of the nearby city of Maikop.

The regional road R254 runs through Krasnooktjabrski , which leads from Maikop to the south up the Belaya via Tulski and Kamennomostski to the small tourist town of Guseripl , and in a south-westerly direction to the neighboring Krasnodar region via Apsheronsk to Tuapse on the Black Sea coast .
