geography

course

The Krebsbach arises on the north-western border of the Menninger district to that of Engelswies in the municipality of Inzigkofen in the forest. Its source rises in a forest area at about 650  m above sea level. NHN between the Gewannen Hartwald in the southwest and Greuthau in the northeast. First he runs south, then next to a larger forest path on his right and a steep bank on his left southwest. About one kilometer below the source, a first tributary stream of half a kilometer in length runs to the left, at whose mouth to the left of the Krebsbach a 40  hectare forest clearing begins, extending uphill to the northeast.

After passing the forest meadow, the stream turns into a slow curve to the right. A little before the valley basin opens on the right side three hundred meters later, another tributary stream runs at an acute angle from the left, which previously bordered the clearing on the southeast side in its unsteady middle course. As before, accompanied by the forest path at the foot of the slope to the right of the narrow valley meadow, the stream runs its last three hundred meters southwest and then flows fifty meters after the field boundary from the left and at about 608  m above sea level. NHN near a fork in the field about 0.9 km northwest of the center of Menningen in the Talbach coming from the west . About 200 meters from here to the northeast towards the Fuchsbühl , on the downward spur of the mouth behind the hillside forest, stands the chapel of the Fourteen Helpers in Need.

Catchment area

The Krebsbach drains an area of approx. 1.7 km², over 90% forest area, south to the Talbach . In the southeast and northeast, beyond the Hartwald, competes at up to 653  m above sea level. NHN rising watershed the receiving Talbach, in the northeast some similarly small forest streams behind one to the greatest height in the catchment area of 669  m above sea level. NHN towering forest crest in Greuthau over the Stelzenbach to the Danube . The area adjoining the south-east behind the ridge drains back into the Talbach via its next tributary Weiherbach .

Three quarters of the catchment area is on the Menningen district, the northern quarter on Engelswies in the municipality of Inzigkofen . There is nowhere settlement.
