Hajdúböszörmény (Hungarian Hajdúböszörményi járás ) is a district in the north of the eastern Hungarian county of Hajdú-Bihar . It borders in the west on Hajdúnánás County , in the southwest on Balmazújváros County , in the south on Debrecen County . To the east of the form circle Hajdúhadház and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg the border.

history

The district was created during the administrative reform in early 2013 from the forerunner, the small area Hajdúböszörmény (Hungarian Hajdúböszörményi kistérség ), whereby the community Hajdúnánás was given to its western neighbor, the newly created district Hajdúnánás (Hungarian Hajdúnánási járás ). The loss of area was 35.5% of the area and 29.8% of the population.
