Hajdúszoboszló (Hungarian Hajdúszoboszlói járás ) is a district in the west of the eastern Hungarian county of Hajdú-Bihar . Its neighboring districts are (starting clockwise in the north) Balmazújváros , Debrecen , Derecske and Püspökladány . Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county forms the border to the west .
history
The district was created in the course of the Hungarian administrative reform in early 2013 from all four municipalities of the small area of the same name (Hungarian Hajdúszoboszlói kistérség ), which was expanded to include a municipality from the small area Püspökladány (Hungarian Püspökladányi kistérség ).
