Hajdúszovát (formerly Szovát ) is a Hungarian community in the county Hajdúszoboszló in Hajdú-Bihar .
geography
The Keleti Canal flows along the municipal border with Kaba . Hajdúszovát borders on the following municipalities:

history
Szovát was first mentioned in a papal tithe list (1332-1337). In 1898 the name was changed to Hajdúszovát (reference to Hajdúk ).
