The Cross Pass ( Georgian ჯვრის უღელტეხილი / Dschwris ugheltechili; Russian Крестовый перевал / Krestowy Perevalist) is a mountain pass in the Greater Caucasus to the north of Georgia .
The pass height is at 2379 m . The Georgian Military Road runs over the Cross Pass from Tbilisi through the Darial Gorge to the north of the pass to Vladikavkaz in Russia . Within Georgia, the main road S3 connects the valley of the Terek upper reaches with the rest of the country. On the Kreuzpass there is a cemetery of German prisoners of war who were buried there.
