Just two days later, he made his league debut for the Knights against the Central Coast Mariners and, due to his performances, remained part of the player's squad. By the end of the season he had played twelve games, including nine as a player on the starting line-up.

In August 2006 he completed a trial training session with the Dutch second division club Fortuna Sittard and finally received a one-year contract. After only one season, in which Bright only managed one goal in eleven games, the club management decided not to extend the contract.

After his comeback, he was able to confirm his good goalscoring rate from the previous season and closed the 2008 season with twelve goals.

In January 2009 he moved to the Greek first division club Panserraikos , but already dissolved his contract there in summer 2009. In August 2009 he signed a two-year contract with the English fourth division club Shrewsbury Town .

On November 19, 2008 he came in the insignificant last game of the OFC Nations Cup (and World Cup qualifier) as a substitute against the Fiji Islands for his first appearance in the senior team of New Zealand .
