The film is set in the Berlin district of Wedding and is about young people who regard violence as the only remaining form of expression of their personality. The 17-year-old protagonist Julia, known as "Kroko", is given 60 hours of social work in a shared apartment for mentally handicapped people after she hit a cyclist in a strange car without a driver's license. The otherwise so cool crocodile grows emotionally in the course of the film as she confronts the disabled.
