Sylke Enders

Sylke Enders (born April 5, 1965 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a German film director , screenwriter and film producer .

Career

Sylke Enders grew up with her sister in the city of Brandenburg and from the end of the 1970s in Kleinmachnow , where she also took her Abitur . From 1983 to 1987 she studied sociology at the Humboldt University in Berlin and was a member of an amateur film club in Berlin-Lichtenberg . Sylke Enders was active in dance, theater and amateur film groups. Since 1987 she has worked on various video and Super 8 film projects as well as scripts.

As their applications to film schools initially were not successful, she studied from 1989 to 1994 at the University of the Arts Berlin still social and business communication . Since 1993 she has been gaining practical experience in film teams. B. as a script girl or assistant director . In 1995 she received script funding from the Hamburg Filmbüro for the full-length feature film Dita meets Rita . In 1996 she began studying directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb), which she completed in 2002.

In March 2003 she received funding from the Board of Trustees for Young German Films for the screenplay for her 2007 movie Mondkalb .

In 2009 Enders was involved with the short film Schieflage in the episode film Germany 09 - 13 short films on the state of the nation . The project consists of feature films and documentaries and is based on the film Deutschland im Herbst (1978). Also represented were u. a. the directors Fatih Akın , Wolfgang Becker , Dominik Graf , Hans Weingartner , Romuald Karmakar , Nicolette Krebitz , Isabelle Stever , Hans Steinbichler and Tom Tykwer .

Sylke Enders lives with her family in Berlin-Mitte .
