Kronenburgerhütte is part of the town of Kronenburg in the municipality of Dahlem in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Euskirchen . The village is a so-called valley settlement south of the Kronenburg district. The Kyll flows through the Kronenburgerhütte and the Kronenburger See lies on the western edge of the village .

The Brigidakapelle on the Kyll is worth seeing . The construction of the chapel began in 1736, according to other sources in 1734. In 1901 a small bell tower was added, the chapel renovated and the sacred space increased.

history

The name comes from an ironworks back whose everyday products such Stubenöfen, Take plates and fire grates were sold to the Netherlands and to the Lower Rhine. The ironworks closed at the end of the 18th century .

The B 421 , known locally as Sankt-Vither-Straße, runs on the northern outskirts . The next motorway junction is Blankenheim on the A 1 . South of the town runs the 2,003 disused tracks of the Vennquerbahn , the 2015 cycle path Kyll Cycle Route was rebuilt. The former station building in the east of Kronenburgerhütte is now a residential building.
