The Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (abbreviated KMIA , IATA code MQP , ICAO code FAKN ) is an airport northeast of the city of Mbombela in the South African province of Mpumalanga . The airport is located in the metropolitan municipality City of Mbombela Municipality .
Kruger National Park
The airport is mainly used for visitors to the Kruger National Park , which is only about 30 minutes away by car, and is therefore often referred to as Kruger Airport .
