Kruty ( Ukrainian Крути ; Russian Круты ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Chernihiv with about 1300 inhabitants (2004).
The village on the bank of the Oster River is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in Nischyn district , which also includes the villages of Baklanowe ( Бакланове ), Dibrowa ( Діброва ) and Polyana ( Поляна ). Kruty is located on the T-25-14 Territorial Road and has a train station on the Kursk - Kiev railway line .
The Rajon center of Nizhyn is 17 km to the west and the Chernihiv oblast center is 105 km to the northwest of Kruty.

At the railway station of the village mentioned in writing for the first time in 1500, jul. / January 29, 1918 greg. the Battle of Kruty between troops of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Red Army of Soviet Russia .
