Kuddusi Müftüoğlu (* 4. March 1970 in Alanya ) is a former Turkish FIFA - football referee .
Career
Müftüoğlu passed his referee examination in 1992 in Antalya .
He made his debut in the highest Turkish football league, the Süper Lig , on November 4, 2000. Müftüoğlu led the game Denizlispor - İstanbulspor .
He was on the FIFA list for a total of five years.
On January 12, 2014, Müftüoğlu ended his 22-year referee career: In the friendly match between Alanyaspor and Fenerbahçe Istanbul , he interrupted the game in the tenth minute and let himself be carried to the sideline by some players on the shoulders, thus ending his career. The rest of the season was headed by his cousin Mustafa Kamil Abitoğlu .
Private
Müftüoğlu went to primary school in his native Alanya and continued his school career in Konya . He studied at the Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi in Izmir and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture.
He is related to the Turkish football referee Mustafa Kamil Abitoğlu. The cousins took their referee examination in the same course in Antalya.
Müftüoğlu is fluent in English , German and Finnish .
In Alanya he met the Finn Paulina and married her in 1990. After the marriage she converted to Islam and took the Turkish name Tuba . The couple have two daughters ( Verna and Meyra ) and one son ( Hüseyin ).
