Kumçatı (kurd. Dergûl ) is a small town in the central district of the Turkish province of Şırnak . Kumçatı is a Belediye and is located in southeastern Anatolia at 530 m above sea level, about 21 km west of Şırnak on the road to Mardin .

The original place name is Dergül ( دركول).

In 1990, 2,223 people lived in Kumçatı. In 2000 already 5,005 and in 2009 the community had 6,895 inhabitants.
