Kuno I. von Rott
Kuno I von Rott (* around 1015; † March 27, 1086 at the latest) from the house of the Pilgrimids was Count Palatine of Bavaria (1055-1086), Count of Vohburg (1040) and Count on the lower Isar (1079).
Kuno was together with his son Kuno II. Von Rott around 1080 co-founder of the monastery Rott . In addition, he and his brother Pilgrim had a relationship with the Sonnenburg monastery in the Puster Valley (1030/39).
When the incumbent Count Palatine Aribo II was ostracized in 1055 and lost numerous goods, including the Tegernsee lakes and those in the Styrian region, Kuno was considered an extensive relative of the Aribones - Aribo II and Kuno had the same great-grandmother, Wichburg von Bayern - by Emperor Heinrich III. entrusted with the Pfalzgrafenamt.
After Kuno's death around 1086, the office of the Count Palatinate came to Rapoto V from the Diepoldinger-Rapotonen family , as Kuno's son had died in 1081.
