Kurian Mathew Vayalunkal
Kurian Mathew Vayalunkal ( Malayalam മാര് കുര്യന് മാത്യു വയലുങ്കല് ; born August 4, 1966 in Vadavathoor , India ) is an Indian clergyman, diplomat of the Holy See and archbishop .
Life
Kurian Mathew Vayalunkal received the sacrament of ordination for the Archeparchy of Kottayam on December 29, 1991 .
Pope Francis appointed him Titular Archbishop of Ratiaria and Apostolic Nuncio in Papua New Guinea on May 3, 2016 . He received his episcopal ordination on July 25th of the same year by the Archbishop of Kottayam, Mathew Moolakkattu OSB . Co -consecrators were Archbishop Michael Louis Fitzgerald MAfr , Nuncio Emeritus in Egypt, and Theodore Mascarenhas SFX , Auxiliary Bishop in Ranchi .
On September 21, 2016, he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio to the Solomon Islands.
