Kurt Bildstein

Kurt Bildstein (born August 19, 1928 in Konstanz ) is a freelance German painter. He lives in Ettenheim in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg .

Kurt Bildstein was born on August 19, 1928 in Konstanz . He spent his early childhood in Waldshut before his parents moved to Ettenheim when he was eleven .

Professional career

Kurt Bildstein trained as a painter and restorer in Offenburg and worked as a journeyman until 1950. From 1950 to 1954 he studied at the Freiburg Art Academy (today a branch of the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe ). In 1951 Kurt Bildstein was awarded the Hans Thoma Prize , today the State Prize of the State of Baden-Württemberg . From 1954 to 1956 he worked as a freelance painter in Ettenheim . In 1956 he opened a craft business for restoration and managed it until 1987. Since 1987 he has been working again as a freelance artist.
