Kurt Goebel

Kurt Göbel (born March 12, 1900 in Bautzen , † December 3, 1983 ) was a Hessian politician ( DDP / LDP / FDP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Kurt Göbel did a commercial apprenticeship in 1914 and attended business school. In 1918 he was drafted as a soldier on the Western Front. From 1919 he worked as a clerk. From 1922 to 1926 he worked as a union secretary. In 1926 and 1927 he studied at the Academy of Labor . After passing the gifted test in Berlin , he studied law and social sciences in Frankfurt am Main , Switzerland and with the League of Nations in Geneva from 1927 to 1931 . In 1930 he completed his studies with a degree in economics and from 1933 worked as a tax and economic advisor as well as a sworn auditor. From 1939 to 1945 he did military service and was taken prisoner of war . In 1946 he became director of the Frankfurt Supply House and Wiesenhütten Foundation. In 1949 he became first chairman of the German Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband .

politics

Kurt Göbel was a member of the German Democratic Party (DDP) in the Weimar Republic from 1922 to 1933. For this he was elected in 1933 as city councilor in Frankfurt am Main.

After the Second World War , Göbel joined the LDP (later FDP). From December 1, 1946 to November 30, 1954, he was a member of the Hessian state parliament in the first two electoral terms. In 1949 he was a member of the 1st and in 1954 the 2nd Federal Assembly .
