Kurt Nilsen
Kurt Erik Nilsen (born September 29, 1978 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian musician.
Career
Since 1997 Nilsen played in the music group Fenrik Lane . He had learned to be a plumber as a profession and continued to do so until he was successful. He became known for his participation in the television casting show Idol , the Norwegian version of Pop Idol (in Germany Deutschland sucht den Superstar ) in 2003. Nilsen won the competition and later also the international comparison World Idol of all eleven national winners based on the same format based television shows. His voice was compared to Bono 's.
His debut album was then successful worldwide, all other albums could only reach the charts in his home country. However, he remained successful there, so he was able to place all of his ten albums released up to 2017 in the top 10.
family
In January 2005 Kurt Nilsen separated from his fiancé Kristine Jacobsen, with whom he had been a couple for eleven years and with whom he has two children: Marte (* 1996) and Erik (* 2000).
Since July 2006 he was married to Kristin Halvorsen, with whom he has a son, Lukas (* 2006). In June 2013, they announced their split.
He has been in a relationship with Oda Rivrud since September 2013.
