Raue belonged to the Berlin tennis club Borussia as a striker , for whom he played point games in the Berlin championships held in two groups by the Brandenburg Ball Game Association .

His team occupied second place in Group A at the end of the 1926/27 season , so they won in the 1927/28 and 1928/29 seasons .
