Kurt Sperling
Kurt Sperling (born February 13, 1903 in Grimma ; † June 6, 1992 in Berlin ) was a German film and theater actor.
Live and act
The Sperling, born in the Saxon town of Grimma , received his artistic training from Carl Huth and Peter Stanchina at the Alten Theater Leipzig. His stage career took him first to the provinces and then back to Leipzig.
The so-called "heavy batch actor" changed after the war in 1950 to Berlin, where he worked at the Berliner Ensemble of Bertolt Brecht . From 1953 he worked at the Deutsches Theater for over three decades .
In the 1950s and 1960s in particular, the physically strong actor also appeared in numerous DEFA films . He often plays policemen, informers, but also workers and peasants. His comedic talent is shown to advantage in a few satirical quill short films .
