Kurt von Reyher

Kurt Rudolf Reyher , also Curt Rudolph Reyher, from 1878 von Reyher (born August 11, 1862 in Marienberg , † October 28, 1925 in Kötzschenbroda ) was a Saxon officer, most recently with the character of a lieutenant general .

Life

Kurt von Reyher was one of the two sons of the Saxon general of the infantry Eduard von Reyher (1832-1910). Kurt's father Eduard was raised to hereditary nobility on June 18, 1878 by King Albert of Saxony .

Reyher, promoted to colonel on November 12, 1912, was at the time of the Dinant massacre, commander of the 178 Infantry Regiment during the 3rd Army storming of Dinant under the command of Colonel General Max von Hausen . On July 14, 1915, he was promoted to major general.

From February 20, 1917 to March 30, 1918 Reyher was major general in command of the 45th Landwehr Division on the Eastern Front in Ukraine. During this time the capture of Kiev falls .

Reyher had been married to Charlotte Gabriele Else geb. from Hartmann.
