The country park , in the region also Länzgi called, is a shopping center in the town of Stans in Nidwalden . It was opened in September 1980 and completely rebuilt from 2008 to 2010, expanding the sales area from 10,360 to 19,500 m². The Migros sales area increased from 7,700 to 8,700 m². The investment costs amounted to around CHF 170 million. The client is the Migros Lucerne Cooperative . The turnover achieved in 2012 was CHF 163.2 million.

The shopping center is built according to the Minergie standard. It has a childcare facility. The 53 shops are arranged on 3 levels. The number of employees is 520.

Solar system

There is a photovoltaic system on the roof of the state park . Around 3,150 solar modules on an area of 4,200 square meters provide over 500,000 kWh of electricity per year. The solar system is operated by the Nidwalden electricity works (EWN). The cost of the solar system was 3 million francs. The national park was awarded a diploma for this photovoltaic system at the solar award ceremony of the Swiss Solar Agency in Geneva in October 2011. The plant is one of the largest in Central Switzerland and one of the five largest that was implemented in Switzerland in 2010.

Development

The shopping center is located in the Niederdorf in Stans at a motorway junction with the A2 . A post bus stop was created for access by post bus. The western access road built in 2010 from the roundabout at the connection to the A2 leads directly to the car park entrance and from there back to the roundabout. This road is dimensioned so that it can also accommodate the traffic of a future bypass Stans West.

history

The state park was opened on September 26, 1980. The first expansion studies were carried out in 1996 and the first development plan was submitted at the end of 2001. In May 2003 the VCS objected to the development plan. The objection was rejected at the municipal meeting on November 26, 2003 and the development plan was approved in February 2004 at the ballot box. The VCS then submitted a complaint to the government council against the resolutions of the Stans voters. At the end of 2004, the development plan was approved with minor adjustments by the government council and the Migros Cooperative Lucerne bought the development land. The VCS then filed another complaint with the administrative court. At the beginning of 2007, the appeal was rejected by the Federal Supreme Court and the building permit for the new state park was finally granted in 2008.
