The Shoppyland Schönbühl

The Shoppyland Schönbühl is the largest shopping center in the Bern region and the Espace Mittelland and comprises over 80 shops.

It is a shopping center which - contrary to the name - is largely located in the area of ​​the municipality of Moosseedorf , a village about 10 km north of the city of Bern and adjacent to Urtenen-Schönbühl . It is owned by the Migros Aare cooperative and was opened on March 6, 1975 as one of the first decentralized shopping centers in Switzerland. Today Shoppyland is the fifth largest shopping center in Switzerland and the largest in Espace Mittelland .

The Migros Aare cooperative has its headquarters and administration next to the Shoppyland shopping center.

From 2006 to 2010 the Shoppyland was completely renovated, the opening took place at the end of April 2010.

Development

Shoppyland is right at the junction of the A1 and A6 motorways . In addition, the shopping center is connected to Bern and Jegenstorf by the RBS's own S-Bahn station .

The Shoppyland consists of two buildings: the main building "Shoppyland" (east) and the second building "OBI Fachmarktcenter" (west), both of which are connected by a pedestrian bridge over the motorway.

The second building has a ground floor and an upper floor, the main building has a basement, a ground floor and three upper floors, with the center management being located in the third.

The Shoppyland has seven parking lots , three of which are outdoors.
