Erwin Löw from and to Steinfurth

Erwin Löw Freiherr von und zu Steinfurth (born November 2, 1841 in Darmstadt ; † October 17, 1914 there ) was a Hessian chamberlain , district administrator and member of the German Reichstag from the Löw von Steinfurth family .

origin

His parents were the landowner and politician August von Löw zu Steinfurth (* May 11, 1819 - January 14, 1890) and his wife Adelheid von Pape (1820-1901).

Life

Erwin Löw von und zu Steinfurth attended high school in Darmstadt. From 1859 he studied at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and from 1861 at the Ludwig University in Gießen . He traveled extensively and worked in the judiciary and diplomacy from 1863 to 1867, then in administration. He was a district assessor in Heppenheim , a district administrator in Offenbach and from 1885 to 1900 district administrator in the Groß-Gerau district . From 1881 to 1884 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Hesse 6 ( Erbach , Bensheim , Lindenfels , Neustadt im Odenwald ) and the Liberal Association .

He married Mathilde Leuthner on October 20, 1874 (* May 11, 1854). The couple had several children:
