Johann Werle

Johann Baptist Werle (born March 1, 1810 in Bürstadt ; † June 29, 1861 in Groß-Gerau ) was a Hessian administrative lawyer and politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johann Werle was the son of the lawyer Johann Philipp Jakob Werle (1769–1829) and his wife Marianne, née Alberti. Werle was first of the Protestant faith and later converted to Catholicism. He married his cousin Agnes Amanda née Werle.

Werle studied law and political science and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. In 1841 he became assessor with a vote at the regional court in Zwingenberg . In 1852 he became provisional and in 1854 permanent district administrator in the Groß-Gerau district . In 1861 he left office.

From 1851 to 1856 and again from 1859 to 1861 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 3 / Zwingenberg and Starkenburg 13 / Gernsheim .
