Lúcio Antunes de Souza

Lúcio Antunes de Souza (born April 13, 1863 in São Sebastião do Rio Verde , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † October 19, 1923 ) was Bishop of Botucatu .

Life

Lúcio Antunes de Souza received on 31 May 1890, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On October 20, 1908, Pope Pius X appointed him the first bishop of Botucatu. The Archbishop of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro , Cardinal Joaquim Arcoverde de Albuquerque Cavalcanti , donated him episcopal ordination on November 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Diamantina , Joaquim Silvério de Souza , and the Bishop Emeritus of Belém do Pará , Francisco do Rego Maia .
