Lúcio Marçal Gomes

Lúcio Marçal Gomes (born May 25, 1966 in Atsabe , Portuguese Timor ) is an East Timorese politician and agronomist. He has a bachelor's degree and an engineering degree, is married and of Catholic faith.

Career

Until 1984 Gomes attended the Public Pre- Secondary School I in Dili and until 1987 the technical secondary school for agriculture in Malang, Indonesia . In 1991 he received his first diploma from Hasanuddin Ujung Padang University in South Sulawesi and his bachelor's degree in 1992. In 1998, he graduated in Agronomy at the University of Hasanuddin Ujung Padang from. From 2000 Gomes was a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture (Department of Agronomy) of the Universidade Nasionál Timór Lorosa'e (UNTL) and from 2000 to 2004 at the Universidade Júpiter Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Floristry.

From 1999 to 2007 Gomes was deputy chairman of the Partido Democrata Cristão (PDC), which he co-founded . In the parliamentary elections on August 30, 2001 , he did not succeed in entering the constituent assembly, but after the independence of East Timor he was able to move up as a member of the East Timorese national parliament for Arlindo Marçal . Gomes was a member until the next election in 2007 .

From 2000 to 2007 Gomes was Director of Planning and Development at Cooperativa Café Timor (CCT), and from 2007 to 2010 Director of Internal and External Relations. Since 2003 he has been director of the newly established Academia de Café de Timor-Leste (ACTL) in Gleno , which was converted into the East Timor Coffee Institute ( Instituto de Café de Timor-Leste , ETCI) on November 7, 2012 . In addition, Gomes has been President of the Fundação Mota Bandeira Atsabe ( German  foundation Bandeira River Atsabe ) since 2010 and founded the Technical Vocational School for Agriculture in Atsabe in the same year.
