The Spanish band L'Ham de Foc was founded in 1998 by Efrén López and Mara Aranda and existed until 2008. Their style was a mixture of different musical traditions such as Iberian, Greek and Oriental music . The group had set itself the goal of absorbing influences from the entire Mediterranean area and bringing them to life in their own compositions. After three albums , two more productions were made with a significant share of the L'Ham de Foc musicians: under the name Aman Aman with music from the tradition of the Sephardic Jews and the Al Andaluz Project in collaboration with the German band Estampie and Arab musicians . Mara and Efrén disbanded the group in 2008 and in 2009 they released albums of their new musical projects Mara Aranda & "Solatge" and "La Banda del Pepo", the latter produced by Efrén López. In 2013 the album "Cançó de dona i home" was re-released.
