LATAM Airlines Ecuador (previously Lan Ecuador ) is a scheduled airline based in Guayaquil , Ecuador . It operates scheduled flights from its hubs in Guayaquil and Quito with aircraft that are leased from LATAM Airlines as required. It is 55% owned by Translloyd and 45% by LAN Airlines.
history
The company was founded as Lan Ecuador in July 2002 and began flight operations on April 28, 2003. LAN Ecuador is currently planning to expand its services, especially within South America. That is why the airline started domestic flights for the first time on April 19, 2009. The first took place between the two hubs of Guayaquil and Quito. This was followed by Cuenca and the Galapagos Islands . All flights are carried out with Airbus A318 . These connections give the airports access to the entire oneworld network. The airline will also expand its services to Colombia and the Caribbean region .

LANPASS
LANPASS, the frequent flyer program of LATAM Airlines, offers a variety of special offers, such as free flights or free promotion to a higher class. Passengers collect miles per flight and can use them to “activate” the offers.
On the plane
Films can be seen, music can be heard and eaten during the flight. In addition, LATAM Ecuador is one of the few airlines (e.g. Emirates ) in the world that allows you to make calls during the flight. Destinations
LATAM Ecuador operates international scheduled flights from its hubs in Guayaquil and Quito to South and North America. A transatlantic connection to Madrid is also offered. There are flights to Buenos Aires, Lima, Miami, New York and Santiago de Chile, for example.
