La Neuville-Garnier is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Les Hauts Talican with 256 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France .
geography
The Commune déléguée is about eight kilometers southeast of Auneuil . It is bounded in the north by an elevation that extends from Cuigy-en-Bray to Berneuil-en-Bray . The Malassise district is part of the Commune déléguée. On the northern edge of the Commune déléguée is a small military area.
history
The place was founded in the second half of the 12th century by the knight Garnier von Hermes (Messire Garnier). Until the French Revolution it was subject to a tithing obligation to the Benedictines of the Abbey of Saint-Paul-les-Beauvais. The (no longer existing) castle was built from 1760 to 1764.
The municipality of La Neuville-Garnier merged with Villotran and Beaumont-les-Nonains on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Les Hauts Talican. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of La Neuville-Garnier belonged to the Arrondissement of Beauvais and was part of the Communauté de communes des Sablons and the canton of Chaumont-en-Vexin .
