Beaumont-les-Nonains is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Les Hauts Talican with 343 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France .

geography

The commune déléguée, elongated in west-east direction, is located south of Auneuil . It includes the districts of Jouy-la-Grange, Chantoiseau, La Longue Rue and the former Premonstratensian Abbey of Marcheroux .

history

The place goes back to the founding of the Marcheroux Abbey and a soon-to-be-closed nunnery in Beaumont in the 12th century. The abbey lasted until the French Revolution .

The municipality of Beaumont-les-Nonains merged with La Neuville-Garnier and Villotran on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Les Hauts Talican. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Beaumont-les-Nonains belonged to the Arrondissement of Beauvais and was part of the Communauté de communes des Sablons and the canton of Chaumont-en-Vexin .
