The Labussee ( Slav. Labut = swan) is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District 9 kilometers southeast of Mirow and 10 kilometers southwest of Wesenberg in the south of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, near the border with Brandenburg . He is completely in the municipality of Wustrow. From west to east it is around 3 kilometers long and up to 900 meters wide. The lake has four distinct bays, two to the north and two to the south.

The lake has tributaries in the west via the Diemitz lock through a canal that flows through the Great and Small Peetschsee , and in the north via the Dollbek from Gobenowsee . There is a drain to the southeast via the Canow lock to Canower See .

The Labussee is part of the 32 km long federal waterway Müritz-Havel waterway of waterway class I; The Eberswalde Waterways and Shipping Office is responsible .

A large part of the banks borders on the Canower Heide forest area .
