The Lady-N-Class is a coaster class of the Spliethoff belonging group shipping company Wijnne Barends in Delfzijl . The ships of the class were designed by Conoship International in Groningen and built at the Koninklijke Niestern Sander shipyard in Delfzijl. The type of ship (of the shipyard as "VHC 2000" V ery H igh C 2000 UBIC), partly also "High Cubic 2000" is called, only specifically designed for the transport of forest products such as wood package. A total of four ships were built.
description
The drive of the vessels is carried out by a four-stroke - twelve-cylinder - diesel engine of the manufacturer Caterpillar (model: 3512B) with 1,249 kW power . The motor acts on a fixed propeller via a reduction gear . The ships are equipped with an electrically powered bow thruster with an output of 180 kW.
Two diesel generator sets are available for generating electricity. They consist of a Sisu diesel engine (type: 645 DSBIMG) with an output of 220 kW, which drives a Stamford generator with an apparent output of 305 kVA , and a Sisu diesel engine (type: 634 DSBIG) with an output of 150 kW, which drives a Stamford generator drives with 175 kVA apparent power. A Sisu diesel engine (type: 420 DSRIG) with 90 kW power was installed as a harbor and emergency generator, which drives a Stamford generator with 97 kVA.
The deckhouse is in the rear of the ships. It can accommodate five crew members who are accommodated in individual cabins. An additional double cabin is available as a reserve. There is a largely box-shaped hold in front of the deckhouse . It is 49.70 meters long and 10.00 meters wide. It tapers slightly in the front area. The room is closed with ten hatch covers. The hatch covers, which can be moved with the help of a hatch trolley, are trapezoidal, which means that the closed cargo space has a larger volume than the usual flat hatch covers. At the hatch coaming the hold is 7.87 meters high, in the middle, 4.20 meters wide area of the hatch cover, it is 8.87 meters high. The volume of the space is 3,878 m³ up to the upper edge of the hatch coaming and 4,228 m³ below the hatch cover.
The tank ceiling of the ships can be loaded with 10 t / m². Due to the special shape of the hatch covers, the ships cannot carry any deck cargo, so cargo is loaded completely below deck.
The hull of the ships is reinforced with ice ( ice class 1B).
