The Lamoille River is a tributary of Lake Champlain in the US state of Vermont .
River course
It has its origin in the Green Mountains in the small lake Horse Pond . From there it flows in a predominantly westerly direction through Vermont. He passes the following places: Hardwick , Wolcott , Morrisville , Johnson , Jeffersonville , Cambridge , Fairfax and Milton . Major tributaries are the Gihon River and North Branch Lamoille River - both from the right. The Lamoille River Reservoir , Lake Lamoille and Arrowhead Mountain Lake are located along the river . The Lamoille River flows into Lake Champlain after 136 km north of Malletts Bay . Its catchment area covers 1807 km².
