Lamont A. Stevens

Lamont A. Stevens (born June 12, 1849 in Haverhill , Massachusetts , † February 9, 1920 in Wells , Maine ) was an American politician who was Maine State Auditor from 1911 to 1913 .

Life

Lamont A. Stevens was born in Haverhill.

As a member of the Democratic Party , he was a member of the 61st parliamentary term of the Maine House of Representatives from 1883 to 1884 . He was a Maine State Auditor from 1911 to 1913. He was elected Selectman from Wells Depot in 1900.

In 1916 and 1918 he ran unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives .

Lamont A. Stevens was married to Clara Augusta Littlefield Stevens (1849-1890). They had a son. He died on February 9, 1920 in Wells, Maine. His grave is in Hope Cemetery in Kennebunk , Maine.
